Scholarship Alert

Are you looking for scholarship opportunities?  Are you a hard worker with a positive attitude?  Do you have a love for music?  The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s (UAPB) Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South (M4) is the right band program for you!  M4 is always looking for bright young minds to join the M4 family.  M4 is one of the most prestigious HBCU bands and is the only one in the state of Arkansas.  M4 is also the pride of UAPB.  M4 dazzles crowds every weekend with breath taking field shows and chart topping songs.  Not only is M4 known for the marching band but for the concert bands as well.  The concert bands are known for their pristine sounds and exciting literature!  The Jazz Ensemble has been described as a breath of fresh air that takes music to a new level.   The best way to find out more about M4 is to join because “Ain’t no party like a M4 party because a M4 party don’t stop!”

 

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Major Scales

  • Minor Scales

  • Chromatic Scale

  • A Prepared Piece

Top 5 HBCU Bands

 

The Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South has been nominated to be one of the top 5 HBCU bands in the nation by HBCUBuzz.com and we need your help.  We, here at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff know how exciting and entertaining the band is, but we need you help and your friends help to make it to the top of the list!  Voting is simple, just click on the photo to the left and look for the title "Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South - UAPB", select us and click vote! It's just that simple.

M4 Alumni Band 

 

This is a quick reminder update on homecoming. The plan as of now is to repeat last year’s schedule of activities with practice on the Friday at 6:30pm and to practice again at 11:00am on the day of homecoming. I’m sending out music now so email me your instrument and part you play 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at hudsong@uapb.edu. This time if you can secure your own instruments! We had a small issue with collecting instruments so to avoid any issues try as best as you can to get your own instruments. We will supply the sousaphones and baritones but the other instruments please help us out.

Again Novel-T’s will provide the shirt attire. The same design will be the same so if you decide to not buy another, it’s fine but with homecoming being so late other options are available such as long sleeved t-shirts and sweat shirt will be available at the prices below:    

         T-shirt: starting at $15.00 Small – 1X, $17.00 2X, $19.00 – 3X

         Long sleeve T-Shirts: start at $20.00 Small – 1X, $22.00 - 2X, $24.00 - 3X

         Sweat Shirt: Start at Small – 1X - $24.00, 2X - $26, 3X - $28.00
